Compliance preparation can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to take up the majority of your team’s valuable time. Below you’ll find some tips and tricks for how to best maximize your use of the Strike Graph platform and how to effectively collaborate with your team to ensure your compliance efforts are productive and efficient.
1. Invite additional team members to the Strike Graph platform
While a CEO may sign the dotted line to engage with Strike Graph, it is common for them to assign the primary preparation efforts to a dedicated team. In our experience, our most successful customers rely on two or more team members to lead the certification efforts. This team may consist of a technology expert, an operations expert, and/or a vendor expert.
There are a few authentication methods your teammates can use to sign into the Strike Graph platform: direct sign-up, google sign-up, or e-mail invitations. To learn how to add your teammates, check out this article.

2. Utilize the control and evidence ownership feature
Within the Strike Graph platform, the control and evidence ownership feature is a clear way to delegate tasks across your team. Owners can easily filter both controls and evidence items to view only what has been assigned to them. This feature allows team members to focus their efforts and complete tasks more efficiently.
You can find more information about control ownership here and more information about evidence ownership here.
3. Activate integrations
Strike Graph’s growing list of integrations are a great way to increase efficiency in your evidence repository and automate your evidence collection. Our current integration offerings can be found in the “Integrations Manager” section of your Strike Graph account and in our Help Center “Integrations” Collection.
Once an integration is configured, it can be utilized with our Automated Collection feature to ease the burden of expiration dates and keep all of your evidence items fresh and ready for audit.
4. Assign control progress
Progress indicators are a great way to clearly delineate what your team has already accomplished and what you still need to do. Users can easily filter between controls marked as “In Place,” “Partially in Place,” and “Not in Place” to monitor progress, generate a to-do list, and take stock of where your team’s time and effort should be devoted.

5. Work in parallel to your teammates
The good news about compliance preparation is that much of the work can be done in parallel with other tasks. If you have multiple compliance contributors on your team, it’s often best to divide and conquer your to-do list. For example, if one team member is wrapping up the evidence collection, ask other team members to begin drafting your System Description or completing your Risk Assessment. Your team members each have their own unique skill set, we recommend using that to your advantage!
6. Rely on the Help Center/chat feature
Leverage the content within the Help Center for support with framework-specific questions, platform demonstrations, policy templates, and more. Also, consider utilizing the chat feature (located at the bottom right corner of your Strike Graph account) for real-time support 9am-5pm MST Monday-Friday.
